Happy birthday kiddo, we made you a cake. Actually, we made you six, one for each year.

Just to show how much we love you. We love you so much we’ve eaten it for you too. It was delicious!!! Just like you.
I’ve pinched this lovely trans-atlantic birthday message idea from bleeding espresso, A fabulous blog. thanks sognatrice.

AV – thank you so much for adding me to your blog roll! I feel honored. And I have to tell you that I admire chefs who can bake cakes like these. They are a work of art!
Thank you, cakes and baking are my most passionate of passions…it’s such creative expression. My blogroll is small, but slowly growing with the blogs I read daily. Today I came to my computer before I even made coffee, can you imagine. I had to relent and get the coffee though, I couldn’t focus. I have decided that if I win the lottery my mom and I are ging to take one o your tours…sigh!
I know what you mean. I often find myself going to my computer before coffee too, and then with coffee after that. It is a wonderful feeling to have these connections through blogging. Oh, but keeping the balance can be tough! And please do bring your mom along on a trip. I hope it doesn’t take winning the lottery though to get you there.
Thanks PP, best wishes for a balanced and peaceful weekend.
those cakes look lovely! How did you do them?
thanks marye, pretty simple chiffon cakes in mini heart moulds. The icing is just glace icing (icing sugar and fresh squeezed lemon & orange juice). The roses where made with fondant icing, and all was topped off with a little gold dust. voila – happy birthday ella bella
Those cakes are just adorable! I love baking too, but unfortunately my OH doesn’t eat any sweets and my neighbors seem to find whatever I make that isn’t within their realm of understanding somehow tainted. So I don’t bake nearly as much as I’d like to. Although my body sure thanks me
Happy Birthday Ella Bella!!!!!!
[Ah, and thanks for the mention!]
