Sift together:

1 cup (250ml) organic plain flour
a pinch of Maldon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartare
1 Tablespoon of organic caster sugar
Drop 1 large organic egg into a well in the centre
Slowly add 125ml organic milk and beat into a smooth batter with a wooden spoon
